I was going to write that this would be a good movie to watch soon after watching
The Wind that Shakes the Barley as they are both Irish and have to do with the Irish Civil strife in the 20s and 30s. Turns out that they were done by the same team! I liked this movie a bit better - though it wasn't also wasn't a feel good movie. But I don't want to give out spoilers. Another movie set in Ireland, this time in the 30s with flashbacks to the 20s. Good cast and good production. Worth a watch. Still not going to make it to the island, though.
