The Exception
Very interesting story. I don't know how much of it is true. About Kaiser Wilhelm being sequestered on a mansion in Holland after WWI and a German who comes to be in charge of his protection detail during WWII. Probably only the part about the Kaiser being in Holland...The movie has a love story in the middle of a political/spy story. But Lily James makes the whole thing even more enjoyable. Good acting. And I love period pieces - yay costumes! The actor who played the lead German was unfamiliar to me. And Christopher Plummer rocked his Wilhelm. All in all an enjoyable (to me) film!
