Somewhere in the middle of the series of Kay Scarpetta books I think. This one got tied up right at the end of the book - there were lots of threads going in - a couple of murders, some people disappearing, a psycho killer and someone trying to sabotage Kay. Phew! Lots of bad stuff. And it all works out in the last two pages or so. Sigh.
