Sylvester Stallone wrote, starred in and directed this action hero mash-up. When I watched the extra material for the second one, I discovered that my perception of the first movie was similar to Sly's - that it didn't really know what genre it wanted to be. It had a lot of splattering blood. And a few moments of humor. A few of seriousness. Who knows? Anyway, glad I won't have to watch it again. I have never been a huge Sylvester Stallone fan...
