I hadn't seen this movie in a long while - probably since it first came out. I remembered it vaguely. And the ending always perplexed me a little. It still does. I thought Peter Sellers did a great job with the role. And the movie as a whole was pretty smoothly done. Shirley MacLaine was a little (ok a lot) over the top. Other than that, the acting was good. I am glad that I re-saw this after all these years. And if anyone has some thoughts on the ending, please let me know.
