So close to being a good movie. Ok, really, not that close. The script had a few good ideas - maybe a few too many good ideas. And a great cast! But it felt like it was done on a shoestring budget. And it looks like it was done in the 70s when it was actually done in the late 80s. Wow. Glad I saw it. And would recommend it to anyone who is really devoted to science fiction or to any of the actors in the film. Everyone else, um, no. Guess what, no island for you, Slipstream.
