Hello, My Name is Doris

Sally Fields hams it up good (well) in this coming of age story - coming of age at around 60. This movie hit uncomfortably close to home. The lead took care of her mom her whole life. Her mom was a bit of a hoarder (not the worst I have heard about, worse than my mom, a bit). And when her mom dies, Doris is left a little up in the air - having not really developed much of a life of her own for the past forty years or so. There are a few good moments in the film. Probably not enough to justify a second watching. No island movie here. Still, glad I saw it. Despite the bit of extra heartache I had when watching the movie.
